Hard Water Stain Removal

Sprinkler spots, mineral haze, and etched glass — restored.

About this service

What hard water stain removal actually looks like.

Sprinklers, drip lines, and Colorado's mineral-rich water leave behind cloudy white deposits that regular cleaning can't touch. Left alone, those deposits etch into the glass and become permanent.

Hard water removal is a separate, more involved process from a standard clean. We assess each pane, choose the right restoration compound, and bring the glass back as close to factory-clear as the etching depth allows.

Our process

Here's exactly how we do it.

  1. 1

    On-site assessment

We test a small area to gauge how deep the mineral staining has set in and confirm what's realistically achievable.

  2. 2

    Surface restoration

Glass-safe restoration compounds and polishing pads break down the calcium and silica build-up without scratching the surface.

  3. 3

    Neutralize & rinse

We neutralize residual product and rinse with pure water so there's nothing left on the glass.

  4. 4

    Optional sealant

Add an invisible sealant that beads water off and slows down future mineral build-up — a great pairing if your sprinklers can't be re-aimed.

  5. 5

    Realistic walk-through

Deep etching is permanent — we'll show you exactly what came back to clear and what's still ghosting before you pay.

Common questions

Hard Water Stain Removal — FAQ

Can all hard-water staining be removed?+

Most of it, yes. Surface mineral build-up comes off cleanly. Deep etching that has been there for years may leave a faint ghost — we'll always test first and show you what to expect.

How do I keep it from coming back?+

Re-aim sprinklers away from the windows when possible, and ask us about the water-repellent sealant — it dramatically slows future build-up.

Is this safe for tempered or low-E glass?+

Yes. We only use restoration products rated for residential glazing and always test a small area first.
